In August 2019, The Martin family and Nichols Funeral Homes both entered into new chapters. Haleyville native, Joseph, with the encouragement of his wife, Jordan, purchased all three Nichols Funeral Home locations from the Dimond family. In 2024, Akins Funeral Home joined the Nichols Funeral Home family and in 2025 we were able to open a brand new location in the former Elliott Funeral Home location and we named it Moulton Heritage Funeral Home giving Moulton it’s only namesake funeral home.
Joseph is a graduate of both Haleyville High School and Jefferson State Community College, with a degree specializing in funeral service.
Joseph is a Licensed Funeral Director, Licensed Embalmer, Licensed Pre Need Agent, and Licensed Crematory Operator and serves as the Company President.
